Hi all, Will start off the bait chat with a question.
Not about the best blah blah blah, but more over about levels.
What experiences/success have you guys had with garlic EO and at which levels?

Im not a great bait buff personally Stuart, to be honest the subject bores me a bit. Im glad there are far more intelligent people around like Mark Bryant at Baitworks to make me lovely carp sweets.
All i do know is is that high levels of garlic in my bait has made for a far less crayfish friendly bait which is a massive bonus on some of the waters i fish. I dont know why but it is defiantely helping.

    Nor am I Dan!
Interesting though about the crays, shame as they are great fried in a little garlic butter.

    Anyone else.....

Stuart, in the early 2000's i was connected to a well known company in the Benelux, and i only used one of their baits, and that was their Garlic/Robin Red boilie.

I can tell you mate, the ammount of fish i caught on that bait was unheard of!
But, and there's always "a but".
When i made my next order, the baits looked very different compared to my previous order!
It looked more brown than it should look red due to the RR. And it smlelled less garlic.
From that moment my confidence in the bait went downhill, together with my catch rate!

Thanks for the replies all. Would like a litte more advise on levels though.
I had 10kg of boilies made for me last year with 25g garlic powder per kilo and they stank! But this time I would like to combine this with BP EO, and for the life of me I can never settle on a rate for this. Have used it a lot in the past @ 10drops per kilo max going down to 3 drops and have never really noticed any difference in catches.

Garlic is a favorite of mine and use E/Os a lot the Garlic is very potent just as the Mexican onion is .I never go above 1 drop per Kg on either of these so its one drop per 6 large eggs if combining with BP I would try 10 BP to 1 Garlic per 12 eggs otherwise you might lose the BP
